This acupuncture technique was designed to help achieve emotional balance, reduce anxiety, manage trauma, and reduce cravings as well as withdrawal symptoms. The 5NP acupuncture protocol utilizes 5 small, sterile needles,  that are gently placed into specific points on each ear. 

An alternative to using needles are ear "seeds". (Acupressure)

The ear seeds are tiny bandaid like stickers with a radish seed placed in the center that will activate the ear points using acupressure. Once placed, sit back, relax, and let the points do all the work.

Treatments typically run 30-45 minutes long.

The protocol focuses on 5 points of the ear. 

• The ShenMen, which promotes relaxation, calms anxiety, and reduces insomnia. 
• The Sympathetic point which promotes muscle relaxation, calms the nervous system, can reduce pain, and aid with digestive relief.
• The Kidney point supports physical healing and reduces fear and fatigue. 
• The Liver point may lessen feelings of anger, irritability, and help with depression, while also detoxifying.
• The Lung point can help promote joy, assist with grief processing, and boost immune health.
